Certainly there are transactions that require title insurance and Trustmark Title can provide that coverage. But there are many real estate loans made by your bank where your collateral position can be protected by the Certificate of Title issued by a Trustmark Title approved attorney. The Certificate of Title is issued to your bank by one of our approved attorneys after a review of the county real estate, tax and court records.

| All title opinions are from our approved counsel. We require a minimum of $500,000.00 professional liability coverage from our approved counsel as well as a review of experience and real estate knowledge. Although the professional exam of the records is supported by the attorneys professional liability coverage, the Certificate of Title is not a policy of title insurance.
The advantage of the attorney's Certificate of Title is speed and cost for those refinancing transactions where you do not plan to assign the mortgage in the secondary market.
